Product Description
In Mold Label (IML) is an advanced packaging technology that embeds pre printed labels into injection or blow molds, and integrates the labels with the surface of plastic containers through high temperature and high pressure. As a professional printing manufacturer, we provide customized in film labeling services for plastic buckets, containers, etc., suitable for multiple industries such as engine oil, coatings, daily chemicals, and food.
This technology precisely positions multi-layer composite labels (such as PET substrate+UV ink+heat sealing layer) into the mold through a robotic arm. During the injection molding process, the labels fuse with the plastic substrate to form a seamless decorative layer. Compared to traditional labeling techniques, in film labeling has the following advantages:

IML’s production process
1. Prepare Material:
According to production requirements, prepare various raw materials required for IML.
2. Cylinder Production: Process the prepared material into a cylindrical thin film.
3. Printing: Using professional printing equipment to print patterns and text on large rolls of film.
4. Slitting: Cut the printed large roll film into small rolls of thin film according to the required size for subsequent processing and use.
5. Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections on the cut film, including printing quality, dimensional accuracy, color accuracy, etc., to ensure that the product meets quality standards. Small roll slitting and quality inspection take 1-2 days.
6. Sealing or Gluing: According to product requirements, the cut film is sewn or glued to form a shape and structure suitable for mold
molding.
7. Inspection: Re inspect the products that have been sewn or coated with glue to check for defects or issues, ensuring the quality of the final product.
8. Packaging: Packaging products that have passed the inspection with adhesive film. The packaging materials can be selected from plastic bags, cartoon boxes, woven bags, or packaging boxes that are 500 meters per roll to protect the safety of the products during transportation and storage.
