What problems often occur with printing rubber rollers?

1. The surface of the printing rubber roller is easy to scratch: Because the rubber roller is relatively soft, if there is a little hard object during high-speed operation, especially when the alcohol fountain solution relies on the printing plate water, it will be scratched. roller. Once scratches appear, they can no longer be used. There are two main reasons for this:
  a. The printing plate is not tightened or clamped, and there are often cracks and cracks on the rear edge of the printing plate, which may scratch the water and ink roller of the printing plate.
  b. The ink roller is not maintained in time. There are many impurities on the rubber roller, such as ink skin and ink residue. These impurities will accelerate the friction, heating and aging of the rubber roller, and cause pitting corrosion to cover the surface of the rubber roller. Usually, the two ends of the rubber roller are more severe.

 

2. Crystallization and calcification on the surface of the printing rubber roller: The surface of the high-quality printing rubber roller should be smooth and delicate, with a slight sticky feeling, and have good ink transfer performance. However, due to the long-term effects of fountain solution, ink, paper and other factors on the rubber roller, and it cannot be completely cleaned every time, various substances will accumulate on the surface of the rubber roller layer by layer. Over time, the original surface of the rubber roller will be closed. Some holes form a smooth crystalline layer similar to calcium, which seriously affects the ink transfer and water transfer performance, and cannot stably control the ink color of the printed matter.

 

3. Premature cracking and aging of the printing rubber roller: There are many reasons for this problem. For example, too much dry oil in the ink can cause the ink to dry out and heat up on the rubber roller. The cleaning agent used when cleaning the rubber roller is improperly selected and cleaned. The time is too short to completely remove the impurities on the rubber roller; the workshop environment is high, the humidification and refrigeration system is not working properly, the large amount of heat generated during the operation of the rubber roller cannot be dissipated in time, and the cohesive temperature of the rubber roller is very high: rubber roller bearing The bearing is defective and is rotated by the inking roller, causing springback friction and being squeezed.
