1) Different Printing Areas
Heat transfer film is suitable for partial printing on products. For products like cups, cans, and buckets, it's ideal, offering excellent printing quality and simple application.
IML labels are ideal for complete product decoration. For example, for products like buckets, cups, and basins, customers want to completely cover the entire surface. This is where IML labels are suitable. Because the label is placed into the mold during the injection molding process, it becomes integrated with the product, creating a striking decorative effect.
2) Different Surface Effects After Use
After printing thermal transfer film onto the product surface, the ink adheres to the product surface without a protective layer. However, after IML labels are injection molded onto the product surface, the outermost film layer remains on top of the ink, providing excellent protection.
3) Different Production Methods
Heat transfer film is printed after the product is injection molded. The heat of the machine's silicone roller transfers the custom design from the heat transfer film to the product surface.
IML labels are placed into the mold during the injection molding process, where they are integrally molded with the product and bonded to the product surface.
4) Different Shapes
After production, heat transfer film is cut into rolls approximately 500 meters long based on the customer's height. After production, IML labels are generally cut into sheets based on the customer's printed pattern.
