The process begins with make cylinder. This is the most critical step, where highly skilled engravers use advanced technology to etch the precise design onto a copper printing cylinder. The depth and detail of this engraving directly determine the color intensity and quality of the final film.
Next, the engraved cylinders are mounted on a massive multi-station gravure press for printing. Each cylinder is filled with a specific colored ink, and the design is meticulously transferred layer-by-layer onto a clear PET carrier film. This stage requires pinpoint registration to ensure every color aligns perfectly, creating a sharp, coherent image.
Immediately after each layer of ink is applied, the film moves into a specialized oven for drying. This step is crucial for instantly evaporating the solvents from the inks without distorting the PET film. It ensures the colors are set, smudge-free, and ready to receive the next layer, whether it's a colour, adhesive, or metallic finish.
Rigorous (Quality Inspection) is integrated throughout production. Automated vision systems and technicians scrutinize the film under bright lights for any defects like scratches, colour inconsistencies, or misregistration. Any substandard material is flagged and removed from the line, guaranteeing only perfect film moves forward.
After passing inspection, the massive jumbo rolls of film undergo cutting. Using precision slitting machines, the wide master roll is trimmed into narrower, customer-specific widths. This is done with extreme care to ensure clean, straight edges ready for use on automatic application machines.
Finally, the finished rolls are carefully wound, labelled, and protected with sturdy packaging to prevent damage during transit. The (Packaging and Shipping) department ensures every order is correctly documented and promptly dispatched to customers worldwide, completing a complex process built on precision and quality control.
