1. Cylinder Making (Gravure Plate Engraving)
The customer’s custom design is laser-engraved onto a copper or chrome-plated gravure cylinder. This cylinder serves as the master printing plate.
2. Base Film Preparation and Release Layer Coating
A PET film is used as the carrier. A release layer is coated onto the PET film, which allows the printed design to separate cleanly during heat transfer.
3. Printing (Gravure Printing)
The engraved cylinder transfers ink onto the release-coated PET film through multiple color stations. This creates the desired pattern with high resolution and vivid colors.
4. Drying / Curing
After each ink layer is printed, the film passes through a heated drying tunnel. The ink is cured firmly onto the film to prevent smudging or transfer issues.
5. Adhesive Coating
A hot-melt adhesive layer is coated over the printed design. This adhesive will bond the pattern to the plastic product during heat transfer.
6. Second Drying
The adhesive layer is dried to remove solvents and ensure stable bonding performance.
7. Slitting
The master roll is cut into narrower rolls of specified widths according to customer requirements.
8. Quality Inspection
Each roll is inspected for color accuracy, print clarity, registration, adhesion, thickness, and surface defects.
9. Packaging
The finished rolls are wrapped in protective film and packed into cartons with proper labeling.
10. Shipping
The packaged goods are palletized and dispatched to customers with all necessary shipping documents.
