There are six main types of common idlers.
1. Groove idler
The grooved idler is used to carry bulk materials. It is composed of three idlers. The groove angle is generally 300. It is fully sealed. The grooved idler can reduce the height of the idler frame and reduce the equivalent idler group. Spacing is used where the rigidity of the conveyor belt is less and the space is less.
2. Buffer roller
The buffer idler is installed at the blanking place of the conveyor, which can slow down the damage caused by the falling impact of the material on the conveyor. It has strong toughness, corrosion resistance, flame retardant and antistatic, and is widely used in mining.
3. Self-aligning idler
The self-aligning idler can correct the excessive deviation of the conveyor belt during the re-operation, and prevent the conveyor belt from meandering, so as to ensure the stable operation of the conveyor belt. In the conveyor belt that needs to be set with self-aligning rollers, one group of self-aligning rollers is generally set for every ten groups of rollers.
4. Return roller
The most used lower idler when returning idlers. Large conveyors can also use two rollers, and the two rollers are arranged in a V shape to prevent deviation and higher bearing capacity. Most of the methods are to set up 3 sets of V-shaped and V-shaped continuously every seven sets of parallel lower rollers. Tilt the lower rollers forward.
5. Transition roller
Transition rollers are suitable for large-volume, long-distance, conveyor belt tension and important conveyors. Generally, a transition section should be set, and the transition section is where the transition rollers are arranged.
6. Spiral self-cleaning roller
The spiral idler is used to clean the material adhering to the bearing surface of the conveyor belt, and its function is the same as that of the cleaner. Generally, the group of lower idlers closest to the conveyor head drum is designed as a spiral idler.
