Characteristics of natural rubber rollers

Natural rubber rollers, collected from natural rubber-producing plants, are natural polymer compounds with polyisoprene as the main component. The molecular formula is (C5H8) n. 91% to 94% of its components are polyisoprene. The rest are non-rubber substances such as protein, fatty acid, ash, and sugar.

1. Aging resistance

Natural rubber is unsaturated rubber with strong chemical reaction ability. Oxygen, ozone, light, heat, radiation, flexural deformation and metals such as copper and manganese can all promote its aging.

2. Physical and mechanical properties

It has good elasticity at room temperature, the elongation rate can reach up to 1000%, and the resilience can reach more than 50~85% in the range of o~100℃. After being reinforced with carbon black, the mechanical strength performance is very good.

Very good flex fatigue resistance, the pure rubber vulcanizate will not crack until it is flexed more than 200,000 times. It has good wear resistance and cold resistance, and has good air tightness, water resistance, electrical insulation and heat insulation.

3. Thermal properties

Slowly soften after being heated, flow at 130~140°C, decompose at 200°C, and violently decompose at 270°C. It hardens during the storage process, and is easy to crystallize when stored at low temperature, and becomes brittle at about -70°C.

4. Medium resistance

natural rubber is a non-polar rubber, which has poor oil resistance and solvent resistance, and can only resist some polar solvents. Soluble in non-polar solvents and non-polar oils, not resistant to cyclohexane, gasoline, benzene and other media, insoluble in polar acetone, ethanol, etc., insoluble in water, resistant to 10% hydrofluoric acid, 30% Sulfuric acid, 50% sodium hydroxide, etc. Not resistant to concentrated strong acid and strong oxidizing potassium permanganate, potassium dichromate, etc.

5. Electrical performance

better insulating material, but after vulcanization, the insulation decreases.

6. Processing performance

good processing performance, easy to mix with fillers and compounding agents, and can be used with most synthetic rubbers.

7. Uses

It has a wide range of uses, such as warm water bags for daily life, medical gloves, blood vessels, tires for transportation, industrial conveyor belts, irrigation and drainage hoses for agriculture, ammonia water bags, weather balloons for astronomy and meteorology, etc.

At present, there are more than 100,000 kinds of natural rubber products in the world.
