Production process

1. Making the Cylinder (Gravure Engraving)
Design Preparation: The desired pattern or artwork is digitally designed and prepared for engraving.
Cylinder Engraving: A metal (usually copper or chrome-plated) cylinder is laser-engraved with the design, creating microscopic cells that will hold ink.
2. Printing (Gravure Printing)
Ink Application: The engraved cylinder rotates through an ink reservoir, picking up ink in its engraved cells.
Excess Ink Removal: A doctor blade scrapes off excess ink, leaving ink only in the engraved cells. Film Transfer: The cylinder presses against the PET or PP film, transferring the ink in the desired pattern.

Hot Air Drying: The printed film passes through a drying tunnel where heated air evaporates solvents, ensuring the ink sets properly.
